BUILD AMBIENCE IN
THE DINING ROOM
- To calculate how many
inches in diameter your
fixture should be measure
the width of your room in
feet and multiply that by two
(so if your room is 12Ë wide
your fixture should be no
less than 24ËË in diameter) - Ensure your fixture is at
least 6ËË in from the edge of
the table on each side or that
the diameter is about one-
third the length of your table - When a table is 8Ë long or less
centre a single pendant over
it; suspend multiple fixtures
above larger tables - Hang fixtures 30ËË to 36ËË
above your table so thereâs
room to see your guests - Follow the rules but always
eyeball the height before you
commit as your roomâs sight
lines can impact things - Install dimmer switches
