Better late than never!
I made this last year for my best friend’s wedding,
but it definitely was not finished in time. It was two
months late! However, it was the first time I had done
any embroidery and managed to incorporate multiple
techniques into the piece. I relied on YouTube to assist
with the stitches but it’s still my favourite piece to date.
My best friend and her husband loved it too.

Polished present
I usually stitch my nieces gifts for Christmas
and birthdays, so I’m always looking for new
ideas in Crazy. My niece, who’s turning four
soon, has just started showing an interest in
nail polish. So, when I saw this design in issue
258 , I knew it would be perfect to put some
kid-safe nail polish inside as a gift! I think she’s
going to love it – thanks for the inspiration!

Touching words
I was so ver y sorr y to read that Margaret Sherr y
had passed away. I love her quirky and funny
animals, especially the hedgehogs. They’re
always so fun to stitch! Concentrating on ever y
little backstitch helps me relax, and smiling at
a fluffy cat or a perfect hedgehog makes all the
difference to your mood. Thank you, Margaret
Sherr y, for your beautiful work. And I want to
express my deepest sympathy to her daughter.
I also lost my mum much too early and I miss her

I stitched this Joy Sunday design while on
dialysis. Stitching helps me pass the time, and
I get four hours of uninterrupted crafting time,
three times a week, during my treatment. I’ve
stitched a few bits and bobs such as cards and
gifts now and have only been stitching for six
months. I’m addicted! Nowadays, I find that if
I’m not stitching, I’m thinking about stitching!
