Using 3.25mm needles and
yarn G, cast on 32 sts

TO MAKE UP
To make Shoes, sew back and
sole seam. Turn one shoe
inside out so strap fastens on
opposite side. Using a pencil
or large crochet hook, make
small button holes. Sew
buttons on to shoes. To make
Shorts, sew side seams. Using
yarn G, embroider stripes on
one side of Shorts. To make
Cape, sew Inner Cape and
Outer Cape together around
outer edges. Using yarns I and
H, make a twisted cord and
thread through fabric to tie
cape. To make Headband, sew

For the facial features,

thread a blunt needle with a

single strand of yarn in the

colour required and insert

it into an inconspicuous

point, such as the nape

of the neck. Then, bring

it through the work to the

point where you wish to

add embroidery stitches,

so that the end of the yarn

is lost inside the stuing.

Thread onto shoe straps. For

magic yarn skein, take strands of

yarn G and H. Twist yarns and wind

them into a hank. Make a tiny label

using some card and tie onto hank.

For needles, break small skewers

into equal lengths. Glue a wooden

bead onto end of each needle. LK
