Tree traditions
What’s old is new again, so forget
matchy-matchy trees in strict
colour palettes this Christmas,
and embrace a more traditional
‘anything goes’ ethos instead.
Mix garlands with baubles,
candles with candy canes, colour
with metallics. If this feels
too haphazard, allow yourself
four different shades (perhaps
red, green, gold and silver)
and look for ornaments with
a heritage feel, such as ceramic
shapes, hand-blown glass,
paper angels and tree candles.
