liquidambars and maples (Acer negundo ‘Sensation’), underplanted
with oyster plant (Acanthus mollis) and clumps of agapanthus. A view
to the pool and cabana, with rolling hills beyond. The family and their
animals stand on a hill overlooking one of the property’s three dams.
OPPOSITE Garden beds beside the house feature clipped balls of
Abelia grandiflora ‘Nana’, dwarf pink rockrose (Cistus x skanbergii),
Japanese box (Buxus microphylla ‘Japonica’) and Teucrium fruticans.
