@HERESJOHNNY61
It’s really a shame that
we’ll probably never
see Silent Hills. I bet
it would’ve been the
scariest game out there.

@TheTattooedBear
Awesome mag this month,
peeps! Although, I am
now skint after spending
a little too much on ‘The
Only on PlayStation
Collection’ editions it
introduced me to.

@BL00MYB0Y
Since playing the Ghost
Recon Breakpoint Beta,
every time I hear a plane
overhead I have an urge
to hit the deck and rub
dirt over my face.

@Higgie_Baby
This month’s Wheel
Of Wants has just one
segment: FFVII Remake.

@Mick_Boss
Finally feeling like its
really happening now I’ve
got a PlayStation mag
with a preview of it all
part of that ritual of a
new Kojima game going
to read through a mag
with it as the cover
story.

@DariusGames1990
I’m probably going to get
very nostalgic this evening
from Medievil.
I remember playing the
original demo from
@OPM_UK when I was
younger and playing
through the Graveyard
and Cemetery Hill levels
non stop until I eventually
owned the full version.

himself Tweeted our
cover. We’re still reeling.

Hero or zero?
I play or have played some
of the Assassin’s Creed
games for about 500-
plus hours. I would not
be hurt nor surprised if
Ubisoft didn’t remove all
user-created XP-farming
quests. If gamers don’t
want to play the game as
the designers intended,
or perhaps don’t have
the time to invest, then
perhaps the AC games
are not for them. Origins
was BIG and Odyssey is
HUGE and sometimes I’ll
just sit on a hillside or on
the beach and just enjoy
the view and return to the
XP grind after an in-game
relaxing moment. IMHO,
Ubisoft has replaced our
hectic real-life challenges

with an immersive world
where we can be heroes.
Having to do a bit of hard
work to attain that status,
I think, is acceptable.

We agree! We’re
in favour of varied
accessibility options
to allow everyone to
enjoy playing games, but
we’re not fans of slyly-
designed XP-farming
quests. Everyone needs
a challenge they can
work to overcome to get

a sense of achievement.
That’s why we all play!

Plus minus
I see in this issue that
there are two letters
talking about those of
us with either no online
access at all or, like me,
no desire to pay for PS
Plus. So many times I
have to Google to check
can I play this game as a
single player or do I need
PS Plus, online access
etc. It just isn’t clear.
I am a lawyer so not
incapable of reading and
understanding small print
but it just is not there in
a way that is definitive.
Why can’t it just say in
good, old-fashioned plain
English – surely that is not
too much to ask! I love my
PlayStation but this is the
one thing that really is so
frustrating! Please please
can this be remedied.
Amanda Evans via email

Most games now have
some online access,
but we do try to flag up
those thatrequireit.

Star letter Who’s Sony?
Everyone’s talking about streaming as
the future of games, or at least being
able to take your games anywhere, like
with certain consoles I won’t mention.
Sony’s given up on Vita, it seems, but
haven’t replaced it with anything. Why
can’t they tell us more about PS5 and
what it’s capable of? Is the PS VR
going to be better? Will our games be
more mobile somehow? (I suppose
it’s too much to hope for a surprise
replacement for Vita...) At this rate
everyone’s going to be talking about
other hardware and Sony’s going to
release a brilliant machine – let’s face it,
even if we don’t know what PS5 will

involve, it’s going to be great – that gets
totally ignored.
Gary Cartwright via email

Sony already has a superb streaming
service in the shape of PS Now

  • see our supplement for our
    recommendations for games to play
on that. And for us, one of Sony’s
big strengths is its games, those
    fantastic experiences people can’t
enjoy on any other platform. With
the likes of Iron Man VR and The
Last Of Us Part II still to come in this
generation, we don’t think people will
be abandoning Sony for the next one
    either – talk about FOMO!
