Impprintz’s packaging
design—contemporary
yet traditional—
complements the
organic, artisanal brand.
“Food packaging should
be functional, attractive
and not wasteful. It
should bring forth
the personality of the
product,” says Simran
Sahi of Impprintz, also
known for the packaging
of Blue Tokai cof ee.

____________
ANTIDOTE
According to Sargam
Gupta of Double
Decker Design, a
lot of things need to
work in harmony for a
packaging design to
be successful. “From
the container, to the
colour of the liquid,
everything needs to
be considered,” she
says. Her art for the
Antidote juice bottles
checks all the boxes:
it subtly incorporates
geometry (a tribute
to each juice’s
carefully calculated
nutrients) and each
flavour’s illustration
is derived from the
function it serves.

NO3 CLIVE ROAD
The blended teas
in Radhika Chopra’s
boutique label have one
thing in common—they
all come in graphic
boxes that use Indian
blockprints and patterns.
“We are using our
packaging as a platform
for new collaborations
and designs in India,”
says Chopra, who has
teamed with Gunjan
Gupta, Peter D’Ascoli
and design fi rm The
Brewhouse to create
unique designs that
speak of Indian heritage
in a contemporary way.

ALL THINGS CHOCOLATE
Available in a variety of fl avours and playful
packages, this artisanal chocolate brand defi nitely
has design on its mind. “To create fun packaging
and experiment with formats is one of the
reasons we came about,” says Kochar. Their new
‘All Things Checkered’ chocolate forgoes paper
for hand-stitched fabric boxes. “Péro provided
the fabric and assembly and collaborated on the
design, so the packaging refl ects our common
love for the handcrafted,” she adds.
