20 years, is the Director of Museum
Relations at R and Company in New

recently moved to a fabulous new
immersive space showcasing historical
and contemporary design on Franklin
Street. Instagram has become the
perfect vehicle for James to
disseminate his unique mix
of immense passion and insider
knowledge on global design, with a
personal favourite of his being

Chelsea’s Pimlico Road, Rose’s
effortlessly elegant interiors are widely
sought-after. Showcasing her real flair
and eye for design, Rose offers a
diverse collection of stylish works, of

furniture and lighting which she
designs and produces herself. She is a
huge presence in both the London and
the global interior design field and in

Tina Seidenfaden Busck launched
her unique gallery in an 18th-century
apartment in a residential area
of Copenhagen. With each room fully
furnished, it feels as though you are
stepping into a private home, one filled
with Tina’s very personal vision for
mixing colours and styles, at all price
levels. She has recently opened a fully
furnished residence above her gallery,
providing the perfect place for design
fans to stay while visiting the city, and
has also launched a summer

ethos appeals to the market’s
increasing interest in and demand for
considered, hand-made works, with an
honesty of production which is both

Trevyn and Julian McGowan run their
cutting-edge African contemporary
design gallery in the vibrant Silo
District of Cape Town. The artists
whom this dynamic duo represent and
exhibit globally are bold and powerful.
For those looking for something fresh
for their home, which is outside of the
iconic/classic designs of the 20th
century, the McGowans’ artists create
pieces which are striking in their
innovation. Definitely a pair to watch as

2011 at the age of 24, Oscar has
consistently offered a refined group of
late 19th-century and early
20th-century design, showcasing
works by the masters of design of the
era at the world’s most prestigious art
and design fairs. The leading member
of the upcoming generation to focus on
this specific era, he recently opened a
second space in Mount Street, London.
His works appeal to collectors,
museums and private clients seeking
rare masterworks by the leading
19th- and 20th-century designers. It’s
great to see the global flag being flown

has amassed more than 22,000
followers who are caught up by his
curation of sleek global art, design,
interiors, architecture and photography
—a potent mix. With a background and
day job in finance, outside of the art
world sphere, his eye for shape and line

This is the home of German and
Austrian art and design of the early
20th century, from blockbuster
paintings by Klimt and German
Expressionist art to the delicate silver
creations of Koloman Moser and Josef
Hoffmann at the Viennese workshop
Wiener Werkstätte, established by the
two artists in 1903. Located in an
elegant Upper East mansion—with a
great Viennese restaurant on site—this
museum is a must-visit for me on every

One of the leading visionaries of the
last 50 years, Vervoordt’s interiors are
a seamless mixture of mercurial talent,
various era and styles, a synthesis of
art and design, and a respect for
historic architecture. Axel’s business is
now a real family affair with his wife
and sons playing active roles across
the Vervoordt portfolio, which includes
a gallery and a cultural foundation. An
