First, make an estimate where the four legs should attach to the seat.
Approximate the length and position of the chair legs. Be prepared to
make necessary adjustments as your drawing progresses.


1. VPR


Next, draw two vanishing lines: one for the front row of chair legs and
one for the rear row of chair legs. These vanishing lines converge at
VPR, which occurs someplace off to the right. The bottoms of the chair
legs rest on top of the vanishing lines. We can see that two of the chair
legs are too long to fit, so we’ll adjust them until they are the right
length.
