An inexpensive addition to your toolkit is a drafting triangle, also
called a triangle ruler, which will allow you to draw straight lines. I
prefer the triangle to a traditional ruler. It’s less cumbersome and can
be rotated quickly into place, whereas a ruler’s length gets a bit
unwieldy when drawing short, straight lines in tight spaces.
