Notre Dame rises again
with 50 billion data
points as the blueprint
for reconstruction
On April 15, 2019, Notre Dame de Paris,
the cathedral in the heart of the French
capital, lost its 800-year-old roof to
a fire. A digital memory of the roof’s
latticework “forest” lives on, however.
On YouTube, a video walks you through a
3D model of the structure, where clerics
walked long before Victor Hugo wrote
about lovelorn bell-ringer Quasimodo.
That’s thanks to Art Graphique et
Patrimoine (AGP), a French company >>
