Sewing Instructions
Head section
- Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of 18—1"
white with small print squares E.
2. With right sides together, layer a marked white with small print square
E on top of a 2¾" x 3½" ginger brown print rectangle H. Sew on the drawn
line, cut a ¼” from the drawn line, then press back the resulting triangle.
3. With right sides together, layer a marked white with small print square E
on top of the other end of the unit from Step 2. Sew on the drawn line, cut a
¼" from the drawn line, then press back the resulting triangle to complete a
Gingerbread Man head unit.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to make a total of three Gingerbread Man head units.
5. Sew a head unit from Step 4 between two white with small print
rectangles A to complete the top row of the block. Repeat to make a total of
three.
Arms section- Repeat Steps 2-4 with 12 – 1" squares E and three 2¾" x 8½" rectangles G
to make a total of three Gingerbread Man arm rows.
2. Sew a 1" x 2¾" strip B to each end of the three units from Step 1 to
complete the arm rows.
3. Embellish with 3" strips of ecru medium rickrack.
