amazing vegan moisturizer. Before I went
vegan I had bad acne, and it feels like a
miracle that it’s gone. So I am unabashedly
proud of my skin now and take good care
of it! I liberally slather on a cream, then
make breakfast so it has time to absorb.
- The makeup routine
After breakfast, I do my makeup. I love
Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder
Foundation as a base, Anastasia Beverly
Hill’s Brow Wiz pencil in Blonde for
brows, and bronze cream eyeshadow
from Charlotte Tilbury again. But I feel
like an actual lash magician when I apply
Hourglass Cosmetics’ Caution Extreme
Lash Mascara. Lastly, I use Inika’s
Certified Organic Lip Liner in Sugar Plum
as my liner and color.
- The personal scent
If I’m going out for meetings and auditions
and want to delight the nostrils of certain
casting directors, I put on The 7 Virtues’
Grapefruit Lime perfume. But if I’m staying
home writing and learning lines with Puff,
I don’t, because she won’t sit anywhere
near me when I wear the stuff ... and I’d
choose snuggles over scent any day.
- The cleansing
In the evening, I don’t take off my makeup
until I absolutely have to. But when I finally
do, I use Glov On-the-Go make up removal
glove. I was using face wipes every single
night until I read a book called The Skin
Nerd that taught me how mean face wipes
are to your skin and to the environment! I
was wary at first of these glove-face cloth
things—how can they be hygienic? But
now, I’m obsessed.
- The witching hour
My absolute favorite product of the entire
day—I practically frolic to my bathroom for
this—is the Flower Mill Beauty Vitamin C
Facial Serum that I douse all over my face
and décolletage. I also use 100 Percent
Pure’s Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream.
And if I forget to remove my eyeliner after
a long day, I don’t stress. Tiny confession:
I don’t always take all my mascara and
eyeliner off my eyes when I go to bed
because it looks so good when you let
sleep do that smudgy sexy thing overnight.
But don’t dare do this two nights in a row,
because this little trick can lead to an eye
infection and that is the furthest thing
from cute. If I do have a breakout—usually
from being stressed from reading articles
about the world ending in approximately
30 years if society does not wake up and
embrace veganism yesterday—then, well,
I always have tea tree oil.
