oriented person—it’s more about the journey. Even
with the production company, I wouldn’t do that
if I wasn’t doing it with my best friends. Life’s too

You’ve talked about working with Quentin
Tarantino for Once Upon a Time in...
Hollywood and how you finally decided
you were “good enough.” What changed?
“I don’t know if it’s a gender-specific thing or a
personality-specific thing, but for me I didn’t feel like
I was [ready before]. Often, people are like, ‘I don’t
think I’m quite good enough for something.’ I felt
t h at I h ad n’t n a i led it yet , a nd t hen... I felt l i ke I d id .”
So I guess it’s all coasting from here?
“Right? [Laughs] That’s what I thought after The
Wolf of Wall Street, and then life somehow got
better. Every time something happens, I’m like,
‘It couldn’t possibly get any better than this.’”
