Equipment Required

• Cake, baked in Molly’s Creature
  Creator Laying Style Mould (or carved

• Cake offcuts


• Buttercream or ganache


• 12” round board


• Renshaw Ready to Roll Icing: 500g
  Deep Purple, 250g Tiger Orange, 250g
  Pink, 250g White, 250g Chocolate,
  Green, Teddy Bear Brown


• 1.2kg Renshaw Extra Black


• Rolling pin


• Dresden tool


• Small star cutter


• Paintbrushes

Difficulty Rating

Step 1.

Roll out 750g of black paste to 6mm thick

and cover the cake. Work down from the

top tucking in at the neck then unpleating

to avoid folds. Remove excess around the

edge and tuck under for a neat finish.

Step 2.

Use the cake offcuts mixed with

buttercream or ganache to make a cake

pop mixture. Take an 8cm ball and roll.

Step 3.

Roll out 100g of orange paste and cover

the ball. Use your thumb to mark an

indent in the top and squash down. Use

the dresden tool to mark lines radiating

from the top indent all the way around.

Step 4.

Attach the pumpkin at the front. Roll

out a small green stalk and attach. Roll

sausages of green, spiral and attach.

Step 5.

Roll out 200g of black paste into a sausage

around 20cm long. Split in half and cut the

tops diagonally for the front legs.

Step 6.

Attach. Use your fingers or the dresden

tool to smooth the seams and blend.

Step 7.

Use the thin end of the dresden tool to

mark out the paw.

Step 8.

For the tail, roll out a sausage around

3cm wide and 25cm long. Attach to the

back of the body and blend. Position

the tail along the body and curl the end

around making sure to leave enough

space for the mouse.
