Painted Pumpkins
Step 7a.
Roll RKT into different sized balls and
flatten slightly. Add royal blue gel to white
fondant and add a touch of black fondant.
Roll out quite thick and drape over the
ball. Smooth out and cut away excess
leaving a little to tuck under the ball.
Turn the ball upside down and gather the
fondant. Trim away excess.
Step 7b.
Smooth out the ball once again. With the
CelPin, mark the centre of the ball. With
the blade tool, mark the segments of the
pumpkin. Widen the creases with the leaf
and flower tool. Smooth any sharp edges
with your fingers.
Step 7c.
Add a few lines and crevices to the
pumpkins with the blade tool.
Step 7d.
Extrude thin strands of tan fondant. Cut
into 1” pieces, twist together and squeeze
at the tip to make a slanted point.
Step 7e.
Dab water in the hole at the top of the
pumpkin and adhere the stem. Using the
tool, pull the base of the stem out a bit
onto the pumpkin.
Step 7f.
Paint the stems with copper lustre mixed
with lemon extract.
