IGNORE MY INTELLIGENCE AT YOUR PERIL (I AM NOT AS STUPID AS I LOOK) 271
A common expression, misattributed to Albert Einstein, claims insanity is
doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
After all these years, I know there’s a good chance the US government will
ignore my intelligence, so why will I continue to do my part as long as I’m
able? I think it’s because I believe so much in the ideals of the CIA and
America that I’ll never stop trying, the same way a devoted parent will
never, ever give up on his child. America’s ideals are sound, even when
individual government employees willfully or ignorantly mishandle intel-
ligence. Politicians do it all the time, but the CIA and those of us who pri-
vately support the US mission must never lose focus or stop doing our jobs.
Devotion to duty by apolitical intelligence, military, and law enforcement
professionals is key to the survival of our republic.
