The selective subdivision of data really does not affect the content or design of data in
the data lake. Instead, the selective subdivision merely influences the placement of data
in the data lake.
When it comes to the shaping of data found in the data lake, the single largest factor in
the shaping of data is the corporate data model, as seen in Fig. 14.1.18.
