one-to-onetraining.‘Obviouslythereare

peopleonhandtohelpyousetupyour

cameraandchoosewhatsettingstouse

forparticulareventsorthemes,butwe

areofferingexperiencedaysratherthan

trainingdays,’headvises.‘Wedooff er

cameratrainingdaysthough.’

Whatmakesthemspecial

Whilemostgroupsizesarerelatively

modest,someTimeLineandWexevents

can be attended by as many as 100 people.

‘Placesonourboattripsarerestricted

becauseofinsurance,’saysNeil,‘butsome

oftheaircrafteventscanattractupto 100

people.Youhavetobearinmindthatif

you’rephotographinga bunchofairplanes

thenyou’regoingtobespreadacrossa

hugearea,soit neverfeelslikethere’sthat

manypeoplethere.’Oneofthereasons

Wexeventsaresowellattendedis the

photographerssuchasMartinParr,Rory

LewisandPeterDench.‘We’vebeenvery

lucky,’saysTiffany.‘We’vestartedrunning

Legendseventswherephotographers

comeandtalkabouttheircareersandthe

equipmenttheyuse,andwe’vemadethese

freesothatpeoplewhowouldn’tnormally

geta chancetomeetsuchhigh-calibre

artistscanlearnfromthem.’

Photographersofalllevelsarewelcomed

event where there were 12 people and they

variedfromneverhavingtoucheda

cameratoa fullyfledgedpro,’Tiffany

reveals.‘Onourworkshopswetend

tokeepgroupsizesquitesmall(8-12

participants),soit’sneverbeena problem.

Wehaveenoughstaffandprofessional

photographersonhandtopayattention

whereit’sneeded.’Neilconcurs.‘We

welcomephotographersofalllevelsand

styles.Oureventsaregearedtowards

givingyoua daythatyouwillremember

foryearstocome.’Finally,Ianutilisesthe

knowledgeandexperiencehisstaffhave

garneredfromyearsworkingontheshop

floor.‘Ourteamunderstandsdifferent

camerasacrosstheboardandcantailor

helpandadviceforstudentsdepending

onwhichbrandthey’reusing,’heassures.

Withsomuchknowledge,enthusiasm,

andattentiontodetailinevidence,it’s

clearthatsigningupfora photoevent

will result in a grand day out.
