t the time of designing the Wabag house, green

building practices were not considered and orders

were placed to various suppliers based on general

speciÀcations When 9 enNatesan tooN over the proMect under

the capacity of a proMect manager, he ensured that all green

buildingrelated speciÀcations, including energy efÀcient

equipment and monitoring systems, were incorporated

appropriately to the structure ,n addition to reduced and

sustainable operational and maintenance cost, a considerable

reduction in cost over 5 s  laNh rupees was seen 1 ow the facility is all set to go for

green building certiÀcation under 2 0 category

%ased on his e[periences in the power industry, 9 enNatesan introduced the captive

power generation through a private wind power generating company ́We got the board·s

approval to acquire  of shares at 5 e  from a private wing power generator to supply

monthly load of appro[imately ,, units at  paise 7 his was registered with a

private wind mill company and under captive power generation user category 1 ow, we

are a  carbonfree power using company We are eligible to score full points for green

building certiÀcation and have also reduced the energy cost by ,μ he says
