Training and Communication
■Deliver safety-related training across company so that
90% of employees achieve a minimum of 80% on final
course tests.
■Attend and pass defensive driving courses at least once
every year.
■Identify at least three sources for safety-related training
and recommend the best option to the COO, based on
cost and effectiveness.
■Ensure that 98% of employees are trained in the han-
dling of hazardous materials.
■Ensure that courses receive an average rating of at least
3 out of 5 from participants for the potential of the
training to reduce accidents.
■Maintain the no-show rate for training at less than 10%
per month.
■Identify and prioritize corporate training requirements
based on frequency and severity of accidents.
■Communicate health and safety objectives to all new
hires within two weeks of hire.
