Stitcher’s guide
Our crackers are
stitched onto 14-count
white or red aida
using just red or white
stranded cotton for
each design. Worked in
whole cross stitch and
backstitch only, these
simple designs are so
quick to stitch that we
think they are the ideal
project for complete
beginners.
Make sure Christmas dinner goes off
with a bang by stitching our classic
red and white cracker designs!

1
Find the centre of your
fabric by folding it in half
both horizontally and vertically.
Follow the arrows on the chart
to find its centre and start
stitching from here, in the
centre of the fabric, working
your way outwards.
2
Complete all the cross
stitch first using two strands
of thread. These designs are
worked in two colours, so
check the key as you stitch to
see which you need.
3
Work the backstitch next –
backstitch is worked in one
strand of white thread.
4
Carefully check over your
finished stitching and then
prepare it for making up.
