↑ Rami Malek and Christian Slater teaming up
Realizing the end was coming, creator Sam Esmail set the stage
for the final installment of his Emmy-winning series with the sea-
son 3 finale, making Elliot’s (Rami Malek) mission clearer than ever
and reconciling him with his alter ego, Mr. Robot (Christian Slater).
“The word for season 4 is integration, ” says Esmail. “Elliot and Mr.
Robot are working together now.” Esmail’s affinity for British TV
Christmas specials inspired the decision to set the final episodes
during the holidays. “It adds a sentimentality to it,” he says. But it
won’t be all presents and cheer. “We definitely question the
morality of Elliot and what he’s done,” he adds. “That gets put to
