ou wake on a roof, restrained by an

unnaturally strong woman while a man

shouts questions at you. The pair are

members of the Unavowed – an

organisation dedicated to protecting the mortal

world from the supernatural. They explain that you

were possessed by a demon, that you’re wanted by

the police for multiple homicides, and that, given

your old life is over, you should probably join them.

You do, kicking off another adventure that – much

like Wadjet Eye’s excellent Blackwell series before it

• is set in a version of New York filled with mystical
  thingummies. Relocating to the Unavowed’s HQ, you
  and your new pals set out on a series of missions to
  discover what your demonic passenger was doing.
