SALT
KING OF THE CASTLEKey locations in Fort Deadlight
2 DOCKHidden
beneath the fortress,
this berth is where the
Príncipi sen Patrena
stores its valuable
ships. If you agree to
help Lamond kill
Benweth’s crew here,
he’ll steal his ship
from under his nose.
3 DONJONNo, I haven’t
spelled dungeon
wrong: this is a word
for the innermost
keep of a castle. This
is where Benweth is
holed up, protected
by guards. Getting in
won’t be easy, but you
can get creative.
4 DUNGEONEven pirates
have rules, and
anyone caught
misbehaving in Fort
Deadlight will be sent
to the dungeon. Here
you can find the
gunpowder store and
cells containing
Lamond’s crew.
1 COURTThe fort’s
social hub, where
pirates meet to drink,
brawl and share
stories. Benweth will
come down here to
play the harpsichord,
but only if the party is
sufficiently raucous.
Good rum will help.
5 RAMPARTYou can freely
explore this area
unchallenged, making
it the best place to
formulate your plan to
kill Benweth. But
stray to the upper
rampart too many
times and the guards
will get suspicious.
6 WALLThere are many
ways to get inside Fort
Deadlight, including
flying a stolen Príncipi
flag. But if you have a
grappling hook you
can enter quietly via
this window. Just
watch out for the
guards on patrol.
7 MARKETA makeshift
marketplace where
you can find
gamblers, peddlers
and other colourful
characters. The
bodies rotting in the
cages serve as a grim
reminder that the fort
is pirate territory.
