s Joe and I would share

the initials ‘JC’ after

taking his name, we

decided to make them the theme of

our day. We had various ‘JC’ initials

around the venue, including on the

cake, and named our tables after

celebrities with our initials!

The theme added a fun touch to

our very elegant pink, peach and

ivory colour scheme, which was

offset perfectly by the all-white

pavilion at Brookfield Manor in

Derbyshire. The venue is the private

home of Lord and Lady Sykes and

the pavilion is only hired out a few

times a year the exclusivity was a

big selling point for us.

As it’s a marquee venue, we had

free rein over the look and feel of

the day. We were able to choose

everything, from the lining of the

marquee (fairy lights so when the

sun went down it gave the effect

of starry night sky), to the bar
