Get creative! Write a love note,draw apicture or create a design
like this bywritingyours andyourgroom’s initials, along with hearts.Tip:Use anotherpiece of cardboard
andtrace along it todraw thelinesunderneaththe initials, to get a
neaterdesign.3
Ironoverthesocks tosecure
the markers. This will helpprevent the design from fading in the
washingmachine.Optional:Print a fun name or design

Trim your flowers to leave around
5cm ofstem length, so that a littleofthe stem can reach water while it’s
waitingto be used. Wireyour flowers
bypiercingbelow theflower headfor
round blooms, or through the top of
aflat-headedflower.

Measureyour head, then cutthree lengthsofreel wire longenoughtogo around; twist together
for strength.One end should hook
into the other to create a hoop.

BindthiswithStemtexto cover
the wire and create a strong base.4
Twistivyaroundthecrown
shape. One at a time, startingat one end, wire your flowers onto
the crown. Start with the first flower
head facing one end of the crown,
and wire the flowers and foliage all
facingin the same direction to avoid
bruising the flowers as you work.

Use ribbontocoverupwhere the
wire shows and to finish the hookat theback.You couldalso makea
lighter crown by using fewer flowers
andmoreribbonbetweenthem.
TOP TIP!
Useflowers that don’t wilt easilyout
ofwater. Well-conditioned roses,
dahlias, cornflowers, nigella, astrantia,
statice and pinks are allgood options.
