as TV drama Peaky Blinders
gains an army of fans.
Inspired by villain Arthur
Shelby, it makes the 2018 list for
the first time since the 1920s.
And Ada, Shelby’s sister in
the BBC series, is the 65th most
popular girl’s name – its first
time in the top 100 since 1924.

A LUCKY elephant is hauled to safety after
plunging to the bottom of a 20ft well.
Rescuers in India used a mobile crane to save
the two-ton creature from disaster.
Army officials at a camp near Jalpaiguri, West
Bengal, realised it was trapped after hearing a
loud noise coming from the well.
They called nearby forestry workers who
released it back into the wild.
