“We weren’t happy, but ever yone kept drinking and
made it fun,” says the bride. At 9:30 p.m., after they’d
polished off several rounds of champagne while shel-
tering in what was supposed to be a kids-only tent,
ever yone headed to dinner under umbrellas on the
dance floor, where tables had been moved because of
the rain. The delayed meal and change of scener y—
specifically, dinner right next to the band—only added
to the night’s energ y. Guests danced between courses,
then a DJ flown in from Ibiza took over at 2 a.m. and
transformed the celebration into a rager that lasted
until 7. Says the bride, “The party was amazing, and
I really think it was because of the rain!”
