W

hen stylist Noelle Molezion-Smith
got engaged to Jermaine Jamison,
a former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver
turned financial planner, the two knew
they wanted a chic, fashion-forward
wedding. They locked in the Bel-Air Bay
Club, a 1927 estate nestled in California’s
Pacific Palisades, then left pretty much
ever y thing else to their planners. “I
wanted them to know that I trusted their
opinions,” the bride says. The result was
a monochromatic bash packed with
upgrades like custom table linens, person-
alized wax seals on everything from the
invites to the escort cards, and a reception
full of signature-scent spiced-citrus can-
dles. Where the hands-off couple did take
over, however, was on their attire. Noelle
worked with Australian designer Paolo
Sebastian to create a one-of-a-kind Italian
lace and silk mermaid gown for herself,
while the groom chose a custom shawl-
lapel tuxedo. After a ceremony overlook-
ing the ocean, the crowd headed inside for
a party complete with a wine menu
curated by the bride’s oenophile father,
music courtesy of the L.A. Clippers’
in-house spinner, DJ Dense, and a beignet
bar with gold-sugar-dusted treats authen-
tic enough to win over the bride’s New
Orleans–based family. “I give our plan-
ners 150 percent credit for their work.
They completely understood what we
liked,” Noelle says. “By trusting them, we
got to be as surprised by details at our
reception as our guests.”
