FAMILY’S

NARRATIVE

For lists of names and origins, create or purchase a family tree

that also serves as artwork and can be easily passed along to
future generations. Etsy is great resource for converting ancestry
lists into beautiful wall art.

Preserve the history you uncover and make

it easy to share. Here are a few ways to tell

the story of your ancestors.

If you’ve collected photos, film reels, VHS tapes, or audio

clippings, consider having the media digitized to easily share with
other family members or to post to an online family website or
blog. Use a service like Legacybox to digitize different types of

media. Once everything is digitized, consider replicating favorites
to frame together or place in an heirloom photo album for each

living family member. If creating an album, select one with
archival-quality paper as offered by Artifact Uprising and Milk
Books to help prevent fading over time.

Recorded video and audio interviews are rare treasures for future
generations. A professional can combine them or creatively splice

them into a family documentary or movie. If your family keeps
a website, blog, or book, transcribe the interviews to share with
other family members. Pull out funny or important quotes to pair

with a few family images.
