DuneHDTraveler’sdesign is rightonpointwithitscomp

formfactorandlightweightat330g,makingit easytocarry

around. Theglossywhitefinishlooks goodandhas

strategicallyplacedventstoabsorbthecoolairfromthe

outsideandthrowhotairout.The0.2-inch DLPRGB LEDle

is onthefrontwitha focusringontheleft.Thepowerbutton

placedontheright,a tripodslotatthebottomandUSB,HD

audioandpowerportsattheback. Touch-sensitiveD-pad

buttonsareatthe top.Giventhe portable natureofthe

projector,weweresurprisedtoseethelensdidnothaveany

kindofprotectivecover.However,Dunemanagestobundle

someaccessorieslike a carryingpouch, Bluetoothremote

controlanda smalltripodmount.

The DuneHDTravelerrunsonAndroidOS(version 6 )but

DunepridesitselffortheDuneHDGUI.Theuserinterfaceis

fluidandgivesusersdirectnetworkaccesstoplaymultimedia

contentviaSMB,NFSoruPNP.TheUIalsoorganisesthe user’s

catalogueofmoviesandTVshowsandbrings supportfor

third-partyappsthatworkonDunedevicefromthe Dune

store.ThedevicealsosupportsGooglePlayStore,whichmeans

youcandownloadallyourfavouritevideoandmusicappson

the projector.Thatsaid, the UIis notperfect.Youstillrequirea

remotecontroltonavigateastheinterfaceis notoptimisedto

be operatedwithjustthe D-padonthe projector.

Asfarasmediaplaybackgoes,wedidnotfaceanyissues

playingvideosinformatslikemp4andMKV.Theprojectorcan

alsoplay4KvideoswithHDRsupportwithnoissues.

HD Travelercanbe extendedtoupto120-inchesinsize.Ithasa

brightnessof 150 ANSIlumens,whichwefoundtobedecent

correction.
