01
Here’s the core of LS Classic’s business: manifolds. The left unit represents
the newest, the 1963-’65; the middle, 1960-’62 and the right, 1957-’59.
02
Like the Rochester system, the LS Classic kit uses a sep-
arate base manifold. It includes fuel rails and plumbing.
Elio Martin, founder of LS Classic, contracted renowned gasket
maker Cometic to create the base-to-plenum gaskets.
04
A peek down the later plenum shows that LS Classic
duplicated the long runners that make the Rochester-
injected and modern LS engines produce so much street-
friendly torque.
03
The base of the manifold seals against the heads with
the stock silicone O-rings, factory components that
ensure a leak-free seal.
05
The manifold attaches to the base and to the heads with
eight fasteners. Note that the crate engines include injec-
tors (shown), but the manifold kits use your existing injectors.
