Gekeya Pinder
“Hooked on Running”
p.
One of my running
leaders always told
me that “you’re a good
runner, you just need to
get out of your head.”
She would always tell
me that after a practice
or a race. And every
time I run, I think about
what she told me.
ALSO: When a run gets
tough for me, I always
tell myself to not rush
and just breathe. I
always remind myself
that I ran Broad Street,
so I know that I can do
it and I got it.
