DanielleTrippett.Locatedina GeorgianhomeinMelbourne,thisfamily
bathroomwasalwaysgoingtowalk the line between traditional and modern.DESIGNAPPROACH
Originally,thefamilybathroomhada separatetoiletnexttoit.Danielleopted
tohavethatwallremovedtocreateoneenlargedspace.“Iwantedtohonour
theheritageofthehomebyincludingherringbonemarbletiles,a customvanity
andglamorouslighting,”shesays.“Moderntouchescomeintheformofa
walk-inshower,generousfreestandingbathandlotsofstorage.”Thefurniture-
styleblackvanity,withitsroundedCarraratop,is a beautifulcomplementto
themarbletiles.Framedmirrorsadddramatothespacewhileclean-lined
tapwareis anotherexampleofcleverdesignrestraint.“Theresultis a classically
