DOB 8/1/00 HOMETOWN Los
Angeles CALLING Creative direc-
tor for 36 Chambers Clothing;
singer in duo Americana, with
her mother, Tekitha
THE MOMENT SHE KNEW HER
DAD WAS FAMOUS “This kid I
went to school with [in eighth
grade] had told people that my
dad was his dad. It was at that
moment that I realized other
people my age knew my dad,
and that he was so cool that
other people wanted him to be
their dad. I was like, ‘OK, he’s
different.’ ”
PERKS OF HAVING THE LEADER
OF THE WU-TANG CLAN IN THE
HOUSE “When I was 10, my
siblings and I were going through
this phase where we had a little
band. It didn’t go past the house,
of course — well, it went as far
as the guesthouse, which had a
studio in it. Dad produced some
beats for us, and my older broth-
er hopped on the guitar while me
and my sister sang. Dad made
it feel like we were some real
artists in the studio, recording a
hit single.”
THE RZA LEGACY “I work at 36
Chambers, the clothing and rec-
ord company, but on the clothing
side. I also do Americana music
as a mother-daughter duo. My
dad’s craft comes in the dedi-
cation that he has — he’s always
improving his artistic muscle. His
love and appreciation and ded-
ication — that he knows he can
grow no matter what — is what I
take to other parts of my life.”
