The best foundation finish for dry skin is... “A natural finish. A lot
of people tend to go for dewy or luminous, but in my experience,
the longevity isn’t always there with those formulas.”
The best foundation finish for oily skin is... “A soft matt if you
have combination-oily skin. And if you have extremely oily
skin, choose a matt foundation and always use a primer first.”
A primer is best for... “Fenty primers blur the appearance of pores—
meaning you don’t need to use a lot of foundation because you’re
already hiding imperfections. They also contain ingredients to help
with the longevity of your make-up, especially if you get oily skin.”
To find the perfect foundation shade... “Always colour-match to your
shoulders. Your face is much lighter than the rest of your body and
the result can be unflattering if you apply the formula all over.”
Your concealer should be... “One to two shades lighter. To brighten
dark under-eyes, those with fair skin should search for a concealer
with pink undertones, medium-olive skin should look for peach
undertones and if you have dark skin, you want an orange undertone.”
Fenty Beauty’s new Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation is best
for... “Rihanna was on a mission to come out with a foundation for
dry skin and now she’s obsessed with the finish of the new formula—
it has the slightest bit of satin in it, so the skin looks really fresh.”
