Episode: “It Wasn’t Love,
Just Bad Aim”
A Little About Me: I’m a
second-year grad student
from Saint Joseph, Michigan.
Outside of school and
writing, I enjoy reading and
attending sporting events. (The Anaheim Angels
are only four minutes away!)
...And My Script: Writing can be hard when you’re in it
alone, but one of the biggest strengths of this class
was our ability to operate as a cohesive unit. We
work well together in a writers’ room setting, and my
classmates helped me take my scripts to the next
level. I am thankful for these eight people every day.

Professor Victor Bumbalo
A Little About Me: I’m a
playwright and screenwriter.
After seeing a reading of
my play What Are Tuesdays
Like? (it deals with AIDS),
David Milch hired me to
write for NYPD Blue, which
began my television career. He later produced my
play Questa. My plays have been produced inter-
nationally, and I have won an Ingram Merrill award
for playwriting. My short film Two Boys played at
festivals and won several awards. I’ve taught at
Bennington College, the Cooper Union, and am
happy to be at Chapman with their wonderful
students and faculty.

Meet the Chapman M.F.A. students who set about slaying Eve and the prof who inspired them.
