your thread is exiting and the adjacent top
hole of the GemDuo in the component (d–e).
Retrace the thread path to secure the connection
(not shown in the figure for clarity), and sew
through the beadwork to exit the open hole
of the GemDuo on the left as shown (e–f).
4) Pick up two As, the corresponding jump
ring attached to the box clasp, and two As, and
sew through the same GemDuo (TH), going
in the same direction (figure 9, a–b). Retrace
the thread path several times to secure the
connection (not shown in the figure for clarity).
5) Sew through the beadwork as shown (b–c),
and work as in step 4 to attach the remaining
clasp loop (c–d). End this thread.
6) Attach 18 in. (46 cm) of thread to the opposite
end of the bracelet, exiting at point a in figure
8 , and work as in steps 2–5 to add the other half
of the clasp to the other end component.
design option
The purple bracelet features a design
variation that adds additional length
and positions the points on each com-
ponent to sit between the points on
the adjoining components. The purple
bracelet measures 8^1 ⁄ 4 in. (21 cm).
TO MAKE IT LONGER
Make three components as before, and then
make two modified components as follows:
1) Work as in steps 1–7 of “Components,” then
sew back through the adjacent open hole of the
same QuadraLentil (BO) after the last stitch
(figure 10, a–b).
2) Pick up a GemDuo (BH), and sew through
the open hole of the next SuperDuo (b–c).
3) Pick up a Pip, and sew through the corre-
sponding hole of the next QuadraLentil (BO).
Pick up a Pip, and sew through the open hole
of the next SuperDuo (c–d). Repeat these stitches
twice (d–e). Pick up a GemDuo (TH), and sew
through the corresponding hole of the next
QuadraLentil (BO) (e–f).
4) Repeat steps 2–3 to complete the round.
Sew through the first GemDuo added, and
continue through the open hole of the same
GemDuo (f–g).
5) Work as in “Assembly” to connect the five
components, starting with an original compo-
nent and alternating with a modified component.
The modified component will be in a rotated
position so there is an embellished point posi-
tioned over the join instead of a mirror image
of the original component (photo).

6) Attach the clasp as before, but attach them
directly to the two GemDuos on the component.
Do not add additional GemDuos to the end. B&B
