DIFFICULTY

right-angle weave /
bead weaving

BASE
1) On a comfortable length of thread, pick up
an Ilos bead, an 11 0 seed bead, an Ilos, a 15 0 seed
bead, an 8 0 seed bead, and a 15 0. Leaving a 6-in.
(15 cm) tail, retrace the thread path to form
a ring (figure 1, a–b), and sew through the
next Ilos and 11 0 (b–c).
2) Working in right-angle weave (RAW) with
firm tension, pick up an Ilos, an 11 0 , and an
Ilos, and sew through the 11 0 your thread exited
at the start of this step (figure 2, a–b). Continue
through the first two beads added (b–c). Repeat
this stitch until there are 25 Ilos beads along one

Ilos beads form a base embellished with crystals and seed beads
for a classic, tennis-style bracelet.
