2) With the remaining tail at the
starting end of the peyote band,
zigzag through the beads in the
end rows to join the band into
a ring (photo p). End the tail.
3) Add a new thread to the bead-
work, exiting the tip D on a top
point (photo q).
4) Pick up a 4 mm fp, a 4 mm
bicone, a 4 mm fp, a bugle, a 4 mm
fp, a bugle, a 4 mm fp, a 4 mm
bicone, and a 4 mm fp. Sew through
the next tip D (photo r), and sew
back through the last 4 mm fp
added (photo s).
5) Pick up a 4 mm bicone, a 4 mm
fp, a bugle, a 4 mm fp, a bugle,
a 4 mm fp, a 4 mm bicone, and
a 4 mm fp. Sew through the next
tip D, and sew back through the
last 4 mm fp added.
6) Repeat step 5 five times.
7) For the final connection, pick
up a 4 mm bicone, a 4 mm fp,
a bugle, a 4 mm fp, a bugle, a 4 mm
fp, and a 4 mm bicone, and sew
down through the first 4 mm fp at
the tip of the first point (photo t).
Continue through the tip D, and
back through the 4 mm fp and the
following bicone, 4 mm fp, bugle,
and 4 mm fp (photo u).
8) Place the beadwork on an orna-
ment ball. Pick up a D, two Cs, and
a D, and sew through the center
4 mm fp in the next connector arch
(photo v). Repeat this stitch seven
times to connect all the arches
(photo w). Sew through all the
beads in the top ring at least once
more to tighten and reinforce it,
and end the thread. B&B

- Work another fringe as in step 2,
but omit the first 4 mm fp when
picking up beads. Repeat for a third
fringe (photo l). End the thread. - Repeat steps 1–3 to work a three-
fringe tassel at the tip of each point
along the bottom edge (photo m).
ASSEMBLY
- Fold a piece of paper into thirds,
and center it on the beadwork
(photo n). Wrap the ends of the
peyote band over the paper to line
up the ends (photo o).
