distract from his amazing one-and-a-
half stone weight loss (right and left), as

at the America’s Got Talent quarter-finals last
week. The TV mogul, who now favours a plant-
based diet, drew gasps from photographers
at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, all yearning to
know the secret to his trimmer physique.
Simon, 59, overhauled his diet and lifestyle
after being hospitalised in October 2017 after
low blood pressure caused him to faint and fall
down the stairs of his London home.
‘I went to see this guy who’s very well
known,’ he explained recently, adding: ‘He said
to me, after
doing some
blood work:
“You can’t have
red meat, dairy,
sugar, bread
or gluten.”’
He was also advised to ‘stop living like a
vampire’ and to cut back on his favourite red
wine, revealing that after initial doubts ‘I stuck to
it and it’s easy.’
Simon, who’s dad to Eric, five, with his partner
LAURENSILVERMAN,42, (left), added that his son
eats healthier than he did in the past. ‘Apart from
ice cream, he actually likes water, eats all his raw
vegetables. I’m on the Eric Cowell diet,’ he joked.
His healthier approach will no doubt be
helping him cope with his current gruelling
schedule which has seen him travelling back and
forth between the US and the UK while filming
AGT and the upcoming series of Britain’s Got
