gift ranges and catalogues around late September/early

October – make a list and check it twice so you have a clear

idea of what you want to buy and where, and get in early

instore or online – each has its pros and cons. So, do your

research! There are many Australian-based specialty websites

as well as bricks-and-mortar retailers where you can get expert

advice and deals that rival the prices offered by larger general

retailers. Also consider local markets and independent retailers

Consider if you really need or want to buy

the current “it” toy. If everyone else wants

one too, retailers will price accordingly and

may run out of stock early. If you know the

kids really have their heart set on something,

plan ahead so you’re not panic-buying at

elevated prices in the days before Christmas.
