PAINTING AND
DECALINGOn to the painting now and
here I experimented by
applying a base of Model
Master Aluminium over
Tamiya Rubber Black. The
idea being to have a metal
base to wear back to in speciic
places. The undersides were
painted in Tamiya Medium Sea
Grey, and the upper surfaces
received a coat of RAF Green
and Ocean Grey. Then heavily
diluted white was then applied
between panels and a inal coat
of camoulage was applied.
The squadron numbers were
masked with Maketar paint
masks and sprayed Tamiya
Sky. Once dry Alclad Aqua Gloss
was sprayed on ready for the
decal application. The serial
numbers were added using
some home-made laser printed
decals, and I decided that the
kit decals were more than thin
enough for use, the insignia
