than the ‘easy’ cockpit ones...
go igure. My suggestion would
me to be do all the masking
before attaching of the wing
as the access to the windows
would be far less comfortable
otherwise. But better, if there is
an aftermarket masking set for
this model, consider investing
into it. The control tail control
surfaces and elevators are
provided as separate parts, and
this is a great opportunity to
add some life into the model
without cutting or sanding. I
wish they did the same with
the laps and ailerons. The
painting and inishing process
was greatly facilitated by the
inclusion of black decals to
simulate anti freezing surfaces
on the leading edges of the
wings, stabilizers and tail. For
some reason those were not
provided for the blade aerials
(here’s my obligatory moan).
Overall decals were of superb
quality and reacted well to
the standard decal solution.
WEATHERING
According to the images the
aircraft is extremely well
maintained, so no stains, dirt
or paint chipping anywhere.
This speeded up the inishing
process and I only added the
scratch-built windscreen
wipers and position lights.
Overall, I completed the build
in about a month (which is
almost a record time for me)
but getting to making photos
and writing this text, proved
to be the stumbling block. It
took me a while to get over it,
for which I beg apology from
the good folks at Special Hobby
and the editor of this magazine.
I ind it very challenging to
write the reviews on the kits
of this level of quality, as there
is really very little in terms
of suggestions to make or
criticisms to moan about.
CONCLUSION
An excellent kit of a very
interesting aircraft. I
personally cannot ind any
faults with it and would
recommend it to any modeler
interested in modern aviation.
Thanks to Special Hobby
for the review sample.
