GO GREEN
The wonders of nature are well documented
when it comes to wellbeing and stress-relief,
and new research has revealed greenery
is also good for our nutritional choices.
Researchers from the University of Plymouth
found that exposure to green spaces can
reduce cravings for alcohol, cigarettes
and harmful food.^1 The study showed that
having access to a garden or allotment was
associated with less frequent cravings,
while similar responses were evoked from
residential views incorporating more than
25 per cent greenspace.
