he internet is awonderful thing. There is a wealth of information at
our fingertips. However, for some things motorhomerelated you just
can’t beat good, honest motorhomers’ tips and suggestions.
As anexample, Google ‘Motorhomes’ and ‘Car Parks’ or ‘Servicing’ and
there is a massive amount of information, some of it useful, some of it
purely commercial.
And, especially when it comes to car parks, there can be very little
informationregarding motorhomes. Some councils have dedicated pages
that tell us where we can park, but these are few and far between.
So, that’s where this guide comes in.We’ve compiled information from
readers’ letters and emails to produce this glovebox guide to motorhome-
friendly car parks and base vehicle service centres. There’s even a
selection of stopovers.
Remember, if you have a brilliant garage or spot a town or village that
offers a suitable car park for motorhomers, then get in touch. If youwant
to make suggestions for nextyear’s guide, however, please include
addresses or directions for any car parks and contact details for garages,
