CHARMOUTH
There are three good motorhome-friendly car parks inLower
Sea Lane(DT6 6LS) right down by the sea, and also another
in the same street near to the village shops, which includea
general store, two grocery shops, aPost Office, various eating
establishments and twosuperpubs.
DORCHESTER
There are asmall number of motorhome baysatTop o’ Town
Car Park(DT1 1XTnear the junction of Bridport Road and High
West Street).
LY ME REGIS
Holmbush P&D(DT7 3HXwestern outskirts of town) has four
designated spaces for motorcaravans, although access is
steep.Approaching the town on the A3052 Sidmouth Road,
the car park is on the right (signposted cars and coaches).
Standard parking bays are quite generous and should
accommodate motorhomes under 6m long.
The Cobb Gate P&D Car Park(DT7 3QD) has five ‘small’
spacesfor motorhomes. Directions as above, but take thenext
right signposted The Cobb. Access is narrow and steep.
A3052Charmouth Road P&D Car Park(DT7 3DR on the
eastern outskirts of town) has sloping spaces for motorhomes.
From town centre take the A3052 Charmouth/Bridport road
and the carpark is on the right overlookingLyme Bay. Large
motorhomes are advised toavoid the town centre and
approach the car park by leaving the A35at the Charmouth
roundabout and proceeding towardsLyme Regis on the A3052.
After about 1½ miles, the car park is on the left. There is steep
access to the town from this car park.
