the plating panels. I also decided to upgrade
the gun barrels and pitot tube as the plastic
ones are quite basic. This was easily done with
some ‘Albion Alloys’ brass tubing of various
diameters. I would highly recommend
getting a stock of these high-quality
metal tubes as they do come in very
useful for such tasks. Given that I
am often building multiple kits
at any one time it is hard to say
exactly how quickly this model went together.
It would be safe to say that due to its good
engineering and even with the etched
parts it would probably go together over a
long weekend. Although being nearly two
decades since its release this is still a very
good and enjoyable kit to make of a signiicant
subject that is not often seen on modellers
shelves. Given that you are getting two kits
with all the extras thrown in these limited run
boxings are probably the best value for money
kits on the market. Not to mention the number
of marking options that Eduard provide, two
kits seems quite limited, but you will not hear
me complaining about that as you could always
buy the weekend edition. In the meantime, I will
deliberate over which markings I will use on the
other one that is left in the box. MA
