and I should have all of them here in
one place or another. It’s the longest-
running magazine subscription that I
have ever had!
The cover that really blew me away
was February 1983 (No. 23). The
illuminated night scene of Bill
Hattersley’s North End 76 service
station diorama stopped me in my
tracks. An outstanding project, great
photo, and a ’60 Mercury hardtop at the
gas pumps grabbed my attention. When
you asked for a favorite cover, that one
came to mind right away. Of course, if I
could mention another, it would haveto be October 2001. [Ed: For those
wondering, Rick headlined that
particular issue.]
